What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing technique found to produce profound results. Reiki is a complementary therapy that involves a healthy flow of energy in the body to lower stress and promote healing.
The word “Reiki” is a combination of two Japanese words: “rei,” which means “God’s wisdom,” or “the higher power,” and “ki,” which means “life force energy,” according to the International Center for Reiki Training
What happens during a Reiki Session?
During a session, a Reiki practitioner will gently move their hands above or client’s clothed body close in a series of positions. Each hand position focuses on a different part of the body and the chakra energy system and is held for roughly 3 to 10 minutes, depending on the person’s needs. There is very little to no talking during sessions, which typically last between 60 and 90 minutes.
What are the benefits of Reiki?
Reiki healing may help with a variety of physical, energetic, and emotional problems. Research shows that a single Reiki session may help your autonomic nervous system, the primitive part of your nervous system that you don’t fully, consciously control (it's responsible for things like heartbeat and breathing), move from a sympathetic, or “fight-or-flight” state, to a parasympathetic, or “rest-and-digest” state.

There are many more ways that an individual can benefit from Reiki. It is important to note that Reiki does not target one particular problem within the body but rather targets everything at once. Energy transfer is the most powerful tool in healing in this way as it heals all related elements of a particular condition.
What do I need to wear?
You will be asked to remove your shoes but will remain fully clothed. As you will be lying down on a couch, or sitting in a chair if you prefer, you may want to wear loose, comfortable clothing. It is also advisable to avoid alcohol before treatment. Apart from that, all you need to do is relax and enjoy the treatment.
What happens during a treatment?
Experiences during a Reiki treatment vary. Some people see beautiful colours and images that mean something to them, some feel a slight tingling sensation, and others feel heat or cold in certain areas. Some feel floaty and light whilst others may feel heavy and grounded. Some people may also cry or laugh as blocked energy is released.
When will I see the results?
Most clients feel some relief after just one session, while others may need several sessions for the Reiki energy to do its work and to see improvement in deeper issues. Some clients enjoy the relaxation and the calmness so much that they book regular sessions for their general well-being. If you would like to optimise your healing, the 'Intensive Healing Reiki Sessions' allows more time to be spent on problem areas resulting in deeper, cellular healing.
Reiki Treatment Sessions
Reiki healing treatments can be booked for 60 or 90 minutes (In person - West London). Treatments take place in the relaxing comfort of my home in my Therapy Room, and they can also be conducted at your home as my reiki bed is portable (an additional £10 per session for me to come to you)
