Ep 009: How to heal your self worth

Learn how a fall in a pond taught me one of my biggest life lessons.

There’s a lot of talk these days about self-love and it’s become such a prevalent topic but what does it actually mean? How do we love ourselves – and why does it matter? You have a mission to love yourself fully and authentically! because.... · How you love yourself affects how happy you allow yourself to be.

· How you love yourself affects what opportunities you allow yourself to take on.

· How you love yourself affects how others treat you.

· How you love yourself affects how you allow others to treat you.

· How you love yourself directly affects your work, your relationship with your family, your relationship with friends and your love life.

· How you love yourself affects so many areas of your life, it affects your work, your friends and family.



I’m not good enough! I’m not smart enough! I’m not successful enough! I’m not beautiful enough! I’m not strong enough! I’m not interesting enough! I’m not thin enough! I’m not rich enough! Oh the list goes on and on and on!!!! Can you relate to any of these?

Self-love consists of two essential elements that must be balanced.

The first element is unconditional love towards yourself.

The second element encourages growth and the focus is on taking action and improving yourself and your life.

Self-love is also to recognise that you deserve more than settling for mediocrity.

And the most significant aspect of self-love is ‘acceptance’ and being content with who you are and as a result self-love leads to empowerment and liberation.

Self-love is not only how you treat yourself but also your thoughts and feelings about yourself.

Self-love is the balance between accepting yourself as you are, while knowing you deserve better, and then working towards it, It’s not about being arrogant or vain or egoistic.

Self-love means that you accept yourself fully, treat yourself with loving-kindness and respect, and nurture your growth and wellbeing.

You are enough, you are perfect! just as you are! Learning to love ourselves is the most empowering feeling in the world, it's where confidence is born and TRUE love can be found.
